Originally from Lady Lake, Florida, Dr. Shannon O’Brien earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Central Florida in 2021 before attending Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, where she graduated with highest honors in 2026.

Dr. O’Brien’s professional interests include internal medicine, urgent care, and avian medicine. Her path to veterinary medicine was inspired in part by her first dog, Bandit, who helped her realize she could combine her interest in medicine with her love for animals.

For Dr. O’Brien, one of the most rewarding parts of veterinary medicine is the human-animal bond. She especially values the opportunity to care for animals while supporting the people who love them.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. O’Brien enjoys hiking, traveling, reading, doing puzzles, and spending time with her family, her partner Jaden, and their pups, Bandit the Beagle and Tank the Chocolate Lab.
